this is for halo pc: ok my graphics card sucks and mc is white and not shiny. but i was playing on the first level (the pillar of autumn) and i noticed that the glass on the cryo tubes had light reflecting off of it making it look shiny and if i moved the reflection moved too like a real time reflection would. heres a pic:

im not sure how, maybe save the dds of it and inject over a cubemap or something... that wold actually be pretty awsome for people with bad gfx

theres a cryo glass cubemap that i tried injecting over the rflection armor of mc's suit but that didn't work.

The cryo glass is just specularity of the lights bouncing off. (Correct?)
It's not possible to have an actual shader that is cubemapped around an object on a bad graphics card.
