Help with loading skins to game

Hello all, Im new to both the board and the game...just to get that out of the way.
I downloaded a skin for the Warthog, but have no idea what to do with it. I tried reading the Tuts here, but I just dont understand them, and also not sure what I even have to look up really. Is there something else that I would have to download before I could put it into the game or what?
