hek\comand prompt

on the 7th tutorial of hek the first thing he says is "navigate down to ur halo ce root diretory" (from command prompt ) but i dont no wat to typer in ive typd in the path to the halo ce folder but it said it was inccoret now i can't finishe my map
can someone please help me!!!

you have to type cd (your root directory) and hit enter or you can do: cd C:\
cd program files etc.

You can do all that cding, but its easier to go into C:\WINDOWS\system32 and copy cmd.exe into your Halo CE Root Directory. Then just double click cmd. in your Halo CE root directory and type the tool commands.
(If your on Windows 2000 its C:\Winnt\system32)

yes.
a root directory is the folder that contains data (in this case) for a program
Halo CE's root directory should contain files such as maps, content, controls, direct X, etc.
example: a common root directory for halo CE is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition
to change to this directory , for example, you would type: cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition.
If you are running windows that should be the directory unless you changed it.
***there is a space between cd and the rest of the command
