I have read probably every tutorial on the internet and i still cant figure out the problem. what happens is flash fxp connects to my xbox fine and i can transfer files and everything. but every once in a while right away when i quick connect it says, connecting, connected, then nothing happens and after about 20 seconds it says connection lost. Can someone please help because this is all that happens now. I am connected to my xbox through a router.

Ohhh... That sucks
Well, try another program or reinstall flash fxp, reinstall your dashboard, use another computer, or reflash bios. If that dosn't work, wow!!! You are screwed. Maybe even try connecting to another box.

i know what you did
Lucky for you, I know exactly what you did.
Go onto your xb dashboard, whatever it may be, and find the network settings. You may have to look for a bit. Near the top, there should be this:
Type Static
Select that and change it so it reads
Type DHCP (or something else, just not static)
Go to the bottom of the menu and select save changes. Reboot your xb, go back to network settings and copy down what the Ip address is, beacuse it may have changed. also note that the ip address may change again eventually, usualyl is the modemn disconnects.
