apply skin in 3ds max

how do you apply a skin in 3ds max? i have tried everything. i exported the skin in hmt and put it on my model by hitting the m key, going to maps then bitmaps then i chose my skin but its all warped. any ideas?

You'll have to create your own UVW to correspond with the halo bitmap.
Sounds too complicated?
Then start out small. create a a basic model with this

and then you can use this
Tutorial to learn how to unwrap your model and then you can skin it with Photoshop
