HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I was just playing halo 2 online today and saw someone with a sniper rifle symbol in their name. I saw this before, but didn't really care. Can someone tell me how to do this? Is there a tutorial here somewhere about this, or a patch.

It's called Sav3r and it's in the halo2 downloads section.

Is this possible without a modded xbox?
