indecies and vertices

ive got an idea on how to get a custom model to work but i need to know thois how do u find the indecies and vertices in a model using milkshape because what ive figured is if i can get the indecies and vertices to be the same as the model i want to replace it should is that right and some one please reply.

When you export the model from HMT, doesn't it default save the file as refering to the number of vertices and indices?

I've tried to do this before, but when i tried to import it it said it broke down into too many sub-groups, which I don't know how to fix.

yes but i need to know the vertices and indecies when using milkshape cos ive got a custom moddel and i think if i get the vertices and indecies are right it will go into halo via hmt thats wat i need to know how to find the indecies and vertices of a custom model

import it into HMT, when it fails to import, the pop up box on HMT will tell you how many Vertices and indices are in it.

edit: ive found out now u go on tools and model stats
