When you export the model from HMT, doesn't it default save the file as refering to the number of vertices and indices?

I've tried to do this before, but when i tried to import it it said it broke down into too many sub-groups, which I don't know how to fix.

import it into HMT, when it fails to import, the pop up box on HMT will tell you how many Vertices and indices are in it.
