Graphics help

ok i have A SLI ready mother board and two Nvidia 6800 Ultra 256 Graphics Cards i was wondering if i would be able to get an ATI graphics card and take out my Nvidia cards and put the New ATI card in

(im not going 2 do this untill the next gen Graphics cards come out)

Why would you want to do that? 512mb across two cards means 256 bit mem interface. Much faster than the 128 bit you would be getting with the single ati card, even if it is 512mb. Also, try to use the same graphics card manufacturer as your chipset. You have an nForce4 obviously, so use and nvidia card. This ensures that any optimizations nVidia made for northbridge (your motherboard's brain) to gfx card communication stay there.
Another thing: two video cards are better than one.
And the last thing. You just spent nearly a grand on two top of the line video cards, so why would you go spend more?
My chipset is made by VIA so i just use an nVidia gf6600 anyway, as i prefer them over ati cards.

If you are going to get a next gen card, get 2 new nVidias, not ati. The performance is generally just straight out better.
And stay away from all in wonders, they suck out the performance on little frills.
So, you could use an ATI card, but why would you want to?
