Mapping help

Hey, I was wondering what program (that's free) I could use to make CE maps. Even if they are square or whatever, I relly would like to know. Could you also give me a link to the program? This would be very helpful, and i will be very thankful. Any help is apprciated.

look for it on the 3ds max site

Uhh, alright, i have 3dsMax, and that is almost the same, but still, I don't know how to do anything with it, like how do i make something with it now? Is there any tutorial or something?
