HELP: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

Okay, I am a complete Noob, and this is going to show. Well... I didn't MOD my xbox myself, I had a friend do it for me. Now, I've been playing around with some of the files that comprise the dashboard and I accidently deleted them. Now all I get is the traditional XBOX Dash, and I can't FTP to my xbox. What do I do? All I need to do is put one file on the HDD. I tried unlocking the HDD and putting it in my Computer, but my computer only wants to Format it. Please help. Is there any way of getting back what I've lost?

if you deleted the file by accident try looking in the recyle bin and right click on the files you want and click restore. they should go back to where they were before
