why cant I play a mod ?
at each time I try to play a modded map, the game freezes and minimize, an exception window appear, with "gathering data information..." , and if I dare to close that window, then game close("Halo has encountered an eroor and must close"ect) and if I let the window, then... the game close anyway
may anybody help me ?
by the way, to play a mod, do we need to install it with ppf-o-matic... I mean, do we ONLY need to install it ? no further thing to do ?

I found some posts with the same problem as I have, but without real answer so if someone can give me one...

if u r modding the map then ply it is wat ur doin... then wat u did was prolly sumthin u changed that couldnt b changed or couldnt handle, happened to me several times.. just remember to bak up the maps or u have to re-install

sure I have done a back up of my maps, but what i meant was when i DL a mod from the forums, (elitewarriors / swordmod for exemple), there are maps, and when I apply the mod with ppf-o-matic, I try to play the modded map, and then the problem I explained appear

to resume : i know how to mod Halo, and i've tried to play modded maps (maps from the forums), and when I launch the map, a error occur, minimizing Halo, and closing it after because of a fu*** error BUT when i mod a map by myself, and try to play it , then i can play it 0.o
what the hell is wrong with my Halo ?

is it a .map, .ppf, .dds or .obj?

well... the mods I ve DLed were .ppf (how the hell am I supposed to patch with ppf-o-matic and a .obj/.map file ? )

Any idea anyone ?
I really 'd like to play some of those cool elites mods so... I hope someone will answer

You patch the .map file with PPF-O-Matic, read the tutorial and work on making your posts easier to understand (proper spelling/punctuation should help).

Ok, so maybe I did not explained myself corectly so :
I patch the map with ppf-o-matic, and, when you patch the map, you are suposed to be able to play with it, but when I try to the patched map, all I can have is the "exception" window, with "gathering information data" inside the window, and this window close my Halo after a few minutes, "Halo has encountered a problem and must close", if I close the "exception" window, same thing, so my question was : why do I have this window, and how can I play a mod DLed from Halomods ?
all the mods I have DLed from this site make the window appear, but mods I've done by myself works, and I've a backup of all the maps

You patch the .map file with PPF-O-Matic, read the tutorial

You maybe think that I didn't read the tuts ? I've read them all, and there is nothing about my problem, so that's why I am asking that

HEY I VE GOT A QUESTION (extremely noob) but I ve got one anyway :
in some mods I have DLed, there was .bitmap files, and.. I havent applied them but, the fact is that bitmaps are not in all mods, so... there it is
