Meta Swaps... I think

I'm wondering how to do a meta swap i think. I want to make the vehicle go faster and less gravity and stuff like that. I havn't found a tut. on how to do so, so if you could give me one that would me much appreciated. Also i and not too good at doing much with halo so a step by step one would be even better. Thanks.
