i got an xbox for my birthday how do i get xbox live???

you have to have a subscription and an internet connection....if you do plug in the ethernet cable to ur xbox and it should run u through a process...you have to have a credit card....then it will ask you for ur subscription number and you should have a piece or paper where you have to scratch off a certain area to put in your code...and there ya go
