Is it possible to make mods on H2?

Dangit, i've been seeing pictures of skins/mods on Halo 2....but at the same time people are saying you can't because you can get banned on XBL. How would you be able to mod on Halo 2 without getting banned on Xbox Live?...err how do you mod on Halo 2...if its possible

On Halo 2, the only things that can be modded on XBL are your Bitmaps.

To mod without getting banned from xbox live is easy. You turn off your modchip when you want to go on live. When you want to mod you don't sign in to live and as an extra precaution, you might not want to leave the ethernet cable plugged in.
