item pickup

Would anyone know how to change the item pick up radius? for example, stand any distance from the flag, and be able to pick it up? or be anywhere on the map, and be able to pick up a sniper rifle? There IS a WAY because i've seen it on XBC. I've been looking around in Ch2R but i cant find anyplace to change it. any info is appreciated. THANX!
