HELP: Need sword to be translucent!

I made an energy sword mod for halo PC. It will work on ANY map you want it to. Iy will cover the beam rifle and still shoot on SP levels so elites wont be useless.
It loks pretty good, but its not translucent. How can I get it to be translucent? LIke the glass mod maybe? what can I do? IM STUMPED! Plz help...
