Ok, when I start yp Hal, or Halo CE, I get this:




Ok, so then I run that program, do the testing, but then this comes up for the Direct3D check...

Hmmmmmm...well it says error setting up 16 bit colour and 640x480 resolution. Did you try playing on a higher res? Another solution is:
I see you have an ati card. You may need to download a driver for it.

go to http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html

Im pretty sure you can handle it from there.

yeah, it says unknown after ATI so download the drivers.
