install skins?

ok yea im a noob and im new to this installing mods and skins.. i cant find a tutorial to install a skin. can someone help me.

right
1)get ppf o matic
2)select the ppf file for the skin
3)apply the patch to bitmaps.map
ISO you put in bitmaps
Patch is the .ppf file

but.. man i am confused ok this skin is for pc but some plp said get hmt

Mate:P
when you got a PPF do it like Deathspoon
When you got a DDS file
1) Download HMT (halo map tools)
2) Make a map for Backups etc.
3) Open up HMT and open Bloodgulch (just a map)
4) Go to the tag Bitmaps and search the picture you wanna to change
5) Press inject bitmap and click on the DDS file
AND PLAY!!
Edit: Make Sure that Bloodgulch and Bitmaps.map are together in 1 map

i got this halo 2 skin off outstanding mods, i wanted to put it in ce(i don't know if its for ce or halp pc) i set the iso file as bitmap and the patch as the skin. all that happned was when i start a game it gathers exeption data.
please help no one at this site helps me with anything
