beginner modding kit (help)

im planning on making a modding kit with a storage of backup maps, a folder to place your modded maps, and 2 basic modding tools (hmt, and hhht). but what i want to know is are they safe to dl? i have to be careful what i dl these days knowing my computer got wiped recently

If you download the programs from halomods they are safe.
