Brute Cannon as you refer it, is actually the Bruteshot. It's the weapon used by Brutes, it's some sort of a grenade launcher.

This is a Brute Cannon/Shot.
It's basically a large grenade launcher, 4 round clip. It also has a large razor on the back for melee attacks. It's used exculsivley by the Brutes, although you can pick it up and use it.
