I've seen posts on where people say the get strikes for making a bump?

I may be stupid but what the heck is a bump? like in a forum?

I don't know, and I would like to so I know what it is.

A bump is when someone makes a reply on a topic that hasn't had a reply in some time. Like anything pushing over 1 month sinse the last person talked would be a bump. But if the person who made the topic is still on the forums and it is a question, it's ok. Cuz someone will help them (hopefully) and then viewers after this could see how to do it.

With questions. If someone asks a question, and no one helps them. Dont bump the topic a few months later to tell them. If they havent asked in a while. They probably figured it out

Or bumping could be when you release a mod, and then re-release it with some really subtle change so that it goes back up to the top.
