halo CE help

I recently got a ati radeon x700 graphics card and i installed the drivers. halo runs fine with it but when i tryed to play halo CE i get this message.

i ran what it said to run but it dosn't help.
i am running it on a windows XP pentium 4 2.93 GHz and about 100GB free hard drive space. dose anyone have any ideas on what i should do.
btw halo CE ran fine before i installed the new card.

Run DXDIAG and go to Video Tab and enable hardware acceleration.

Also go to Desktop Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> then somewhere there go to hardware acelleration.

OMG that sucks is it a 256 card if it is i think there is an update for haloce

i dont think there is sorry i was just guessing ill search for an update or patch there is one for halo pc for certain 256 cards

You have no clue what you're talking about.
Right, there is no update for Halo CE.

Second, make sure your hardware and drivers are intact and installed correctly. Next contact your manufacturer and download the latest drivers.

when i go on the net with halo ce its say in the message that manually update is require but when i check on the site of microsoft there is no update. I have the 1.7 version. Is there an update or no and where i can find.

Yes there is an update for CE. 1.07.
