Recording Halo 2?

Hey, I was wondering what kind of software or whatever, you would need to film stuff on an xbox. I want to make a halo 2 movie but i don't know what to use to record it. how much would something like that cost and where could i get one?

i should get a mod to sticky this. its been asked so many times.
You need a video capture card.
There is software that comes with the Ms Xbox XDK, but thats illegal unless u get it from MS with there permission. buy a video capture card from aTI.

if you don't know what a video capture card is and want to make a halo2 movie, you might want to rethink this idea.
it would require you to by a video-capture card to put into your computer.(or is there is a external type i don't know) i would be like recording to a vcr. there quite a bit cards out there ranging in cost of course. these would hook-up to your computer in various ways, coaxial, s-video, composite, componet, dvi and have fiber optics/stereo/surround sound. i can't tell you which one is best. the one i have came with my computer when i bought it. besides the card (it will come with sofware to transfer the file to mpeg, avi, whatever.) you will need a video editing suite program. again, these range in different costs and abilities too. i wouldn't be surprised that there is a video-card/editing suite combo out there. check cnet.com too. i know there is a freeware avi editor out there too. being a former video editor i will tell you this... it takes time. especially if you have never done this before. however, you may enjoy doing this and will have a possible career in video editing.
