Are graphic and sound cards plug-and-play?

I got a new comp with REALLY bad graphics and sound card (probably the worst...), and I want to swap them with my other computer. Is this possible without any drivers or software?

A GeForce 2, not great, but better than the one I have now... I have the Intel Extreme Graphics 2 now (Extreme my ass) Thanks
