Ftp/internet connection: real help needed!

okay can somebody help me?
i was trying to connect with cuteftp to halomodscafe. Sf gave me a free subdomain. I got in, but someone talked to me on msn. I waited for 1 min, and i went back into ftp again, but the connection closed down. I tried to reconnect, but to no avail. Then, before i used the ftp, i could connect to halomods. Now i cant. If someones smart with ftp, and you recognize this problem, plz help. plz! i beg!
