I was playing Halo Custom Edition saturday and all of a Sudden the Server closed down on me? or i thought it did because a message saying "the Server has closed down" i went to check back and the server was still opened.?

when i tried to join the Server again i got a message saying "INVALID CD KEY"

wtf? now i dont know what to do. I cant create a server or join one because all say "invalid CD key" or "the game has closed down"

has this ever happened to you? damn just when i thought i would get a chance to wait for some cool CE maps this crap happenes to me. i tried playing Halo PC and the same thing hapened.

why is this?

and i dont have a crack or anything like that.

maybe u could try reinstalling halo btw, if u have dial up then ull get disconnected from the server u are playing on, the "game has closed down thing" happens to me alot, since im stuck with dial up and my parents are too cheap to pay 8 more dollars a month for high speed.

ALOT. I havent dont anything to my program and that message keeps appearing. i cant create or join a game because it says "INVALID CD KEY"

i need help on what to do i want to play Coagulation and New Mombasa halo 2

but i keep getting an "YOUR CD KEY IS INVALID" Ill never get to play those maps im looking forward to now

oh well since not much help has been posted i guess i wont play Halo PC anymore since my CD key is no longer valid ill be playing Resident Evil 4 soon oh well....

If I had to guess, I'd say you got disconnected for a moment (the game then said the game closed down), and the server didn't register you leaving the game, so it probably still thinks you're logged into it.

ut what about the other message that comes up when i make a server or join others. it says "YOUR CD KEY IS INVALID"

i think that happens when the game thinks your cd key is already in use

usually when you do lend it out, it only says "INVALID CD-KEY" when you try to join a server that has someone on it with you cd-key.[/quote]
