3ds max 4/5 trial

Does 3dsmax 4/5 work on windows 98 se, as i have max 6 on my xp computer, but would like to use it on 98 too. If anyone has either of these could they please pm me.

No. I don't think so. I downloaded it and it when i tried to set it up it says:
supported operating systems are Windows XP, and 200. Btw do u have to have 3ds max 5 for hek to work?

You can get 3ds max from
www.discreet.com but it's just a 30 day trial. To buy it you have to pay something like 400 - 500 bucks or more. And hek doesn't require 3ds max, but without it you can't do much.

its not true, you can download Gmax free from that same site and its practically equal to 3ds max as long as model making is concerned.

Yeah, but you can't save in the 3ds max format which you need to use in CE.

Need save as .jms for CE not 3ds so if any1 wants to use $40,000 to make plugins for gmax be my guest.
