HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Okay this is a hard one, Ive tried almost everything, but it still doesnt work..


The problem:
Okay well, in Halo PC it first started out, that I couldnt make any servers, lan or internet.. It just said "starting network server..." and like after 5 mins said "Unable to join server"

Since then I have been able to play a game but now, I cant even join any server... What happens is when I see the list, I double click on it, It goes "Connecting to (their I.P), then it says the retrying thing..
"Retrying to connect to (TheirI.P)...

I'vve tried reinstalling Halo, Ive run ad-aware SE Pro, didnt find any. I've tried refrag disk, scan disk.. still doesnt work...

It could be a virus, but I doubt it, this is the only thing that isnt working, so that would be highly unlikely.

It could be a problem connecting to the Halo Servers (like where the mainframe pc is)

I'm not actually sure if I can connecct on Halo CE.. I will try in a minute though, hopefully that will work!


I can't think why it isn't working, Can any one help me figure this out, Its highly anoying as hardly anyone has sniper servers up anymore.

Guy in need of help with Halo Pc!

Have you tried changing ports? This is what happened to me a while ago...I forgot what ports I changed it to...let me go check.
EDIT: Ok, here are my port thingy-madookies:
Server Port: 2302
Client Port: 2303
If they are already at that, then I have no idea what to tell you.

No I haven't tried changing the ports yet.. At the moment there both 2301.. I'm going to try the ones you've said...


*Edit* wOOt!! It works!! YAY... Thanks you SO much, *huge smile on face* At last I can now kick some ass on sniper matches.

dude thats ur problem rite there, server port and client port cannot be one in the same i believe, any ways if that still dont fix it then talk to me on AIM/MSNM and ill talk u through some internet troubleshooting, like enabling port fowarding or DMZ

Pay more attention! I even edited the name to [Resolved].. Its fixed now, thanks to a baby seal.
