ok halo starts up and says halo and go's to the thing in the pic and says error and no worky ahhhh if someone can help me? plz

no no it isnt
example:
I had my normal CE maps no added ones. I open up HMT and add a 8x zoom to the pistol. But since there isnt a file hud vision with 8x for pistol when I would open up CE I would get the "Gathering Exception Data"
does that make any sense?

yeah it does but i dont have any mods on and i uninstalled it all the way and it does the same thing

HA i know whats wrong try reparing it first and if it still dosent work then you need to uninstall completely and then reinstall it

it MUST be a corrupted map which you have modded. I have gotten the same error before. Try repairing the problem, or if you made map backups before you ever modded the map (which you should have) replace it with the modded one.

ok no one can get this through there heads. Its not because of a mod, and we can't fix it by uninstalling and realinstalling halo. Were not that stupid to not try the first logical things. I have the same problem. The difference is I modded the shit out of my halo, but I deleted everything. EVERYTHING. I uninstalled halo, halo ce, back up maps, mods, halo ce maps. Lets just put it this way. I deleted over three gigs of stuff. I went online, and found many false solutions to the problem. None worked. I have a feeling it has something to do w/ microsoft, and making it so ppl w/ halo pc, xbox, and xbox live with a reserved halo 2 not able to play halo pc to see if we can wait a month or something among those lines, because right after I got xbox live working my halo just stopped. But I am suffering from acute paranoia so its probably just me. Anyway. If your going to post a solution to this little endever then read the whole post so you don't repeat what ppl said, and only post a solution if its a logical one even though mine wasn't.

WE'VE ALREADY TRIED REINSTALLING IT!
I've uninstalled, deleted everything, reinstalled it, and repeired it, used a different cd, EVERYTHING!
And i have the same exact problem for halo ce, because halo ce is interconnected w/ halo pc. So please don't post a solution unless it hasn't been posted before or you are positive and I mean POSITIVE it works.

Well I don't know much but you can try to uninstall every halo thing and then go into the registry and rip every halo named file out of it. That would make sure that halo was completely gone. Then reinstall halo. And I can't be POSITIVE that this works because I dont have this f*cking problem so I'm not guaranteeing sucess. Also you have a lot of shit on your desktop, you really shouldn't.

when you unistall Halo you are missing a whole bunch of things.
such as: halo profiles and saved games folder (located in /My Documents/My Games/Halo
application data... not sure if for Halo, but seen for other games... plenty of reg files.
I cant think of anythign right now... hand over specs and any other info about your pc, I might be able to help then.
