Server Hosting Behind Router--Help

I have searched for days on the Internet, and still have not been able to host an internet game. My server is not visible to anyone else, and I know it has something to do with my router. I have a D-Link DI-514 wireless router, and I'm desperate enough to try anything at the moment. I know that I need to mess with ports, but I'm not exactly sure what to do. I know how to get to my router at 192.168.0.1, and I've tried something already--I tried setting up a "Virtual Server" with these specifics:
Status: Enabled
Name: Halo
Private IP: 192.168.0.xxx (xxx= I'm not sure if I should give this out publically or not...)
Protocol Type: UDP
Private Port: 2302
Public Port: 2303
Schedule: Always
Is there something wrong with the above configuration? Am I missing something? Am I going about this all wrong?
Maybe I'm just an idiot?
Who knows, but I'd appreciate some help.
And while I'm at it... is it normal to not be directly able to join multiplayer games in HaloCE? For me, everything under "Join" is dimmed, and "Internet" under "Create Game" is also dimmed. The only way for me to connect is to use HaloSpyCE. For me to *try* to host a game, I have to connect to a server via HaloSpyCE, exit the map, and then go to "Multiplayer" on the menu, where all options will be *magically* lit up. Any thoughts?
