SERIOUS problem with HaloPC/CE (blue screen)

Well, after being absent from this community and from HaloPC/CE for a few months, I just recently caught an article that talked about a new server-side program for HaloCE that eliminates 90% of lag. Since this is one of the reasons I stopped playing it, I figured I'd go back and give HaloCE a try.
I'm one of those who updated to Service Pack 2, mainly for the new Firewall and Updater. I haven't had a single program work incorrectly or fail completely, until now....
I ran the updater program in the HaloCE folder and it reported my game was up-to-date. Ran the updater in the HaloPC folder and it downloaded the latest patch and (apparently) installed it successfully. So then I went to launch HaloCE and WHAM...blue screen of death. I hadn't gotten a BSOD in over 6 months. So I grudgingly reset my system, Windows comes up, and just for the heck of it I try HaloPC. WHAM...same BSOD, no driver listed as the culprit.
So, as you can imagine, I'm quite frustrated. I would appreciate any help you guys could offer.
And no, going back to Service Pack 1 is not an option.

driver confict...
the drivers might be conflicting each other...
I mean its like you get something from SP2 and then sumthin from the Halo Updater, or whateva you said...
That's what I'm guessing.
I've had problems like that too, and its always ended up to be a driver problem...
It could also be a problem with files that you are having, I dont know... you should check through and find anything that would cause a problem...

But see that's the thing, the blue screen gives me no information on what driver is causing the problem. Halo worked fine with patch 1.3 and SP1 with the same driver configuration I have now. This has got to be something to do with the interaction between SP2 and the latest HaloPC patch. Is there any way I can uninstall the patch and still be able to play on the latest CE servers?

The release 1.05 for Halo as a quickfix to this problem after people install SP2. I haven't heard of any similar patches for CE.

I didn't install any lag fix, the lag fix only needs to be applied on the server side.

Well I completely uninstalled HaloPC and HaloCE, then reinstalled them both. From a fresh install I got the same problem. After updating to the 1.05 patch I got the same problem. And the 1.05 patch was created specifically to correct this issue, from what I understand. I'm really frustrated at this point...
I've been doing a google search and the only thing close to a solution is someone adjusting their video aperture size in the BIOS from 128mb to 256mb...but my Radeon 9500 Pro is 128mb to begin with! Besides, this solution wasn't even for the specific problem I'm having.
Is there anything more I can do?

Guys I would really appreciate a solution to this. It's killing me not being able to play Halo.

Well, after considering the benefits of SP2 versus being able to play HaloPC/CE, I decided to uninstall SP2. And man...playing with 90% less lag online is TOTALLY worth it.
I just hope sometime in the future MS releases an update for HaloPC to run on SP2. That way when programs start requiring SP2 I won't have to give it up.
