Ok I've had Halo for a few months now and I've never had any problems. Now, most of the time when I want to create an Internet game, after I type in the name, and click start, the game freezes and the sound repeats itself like every 2 seconds. This sometimes happens when I try to join a game in the internet lobby. Now I can't get into my campaign either because right when it loads, my computer freezes....BTW my whole computer freezes not just halo)...anyone have any suggestions or answers?

Sometimes mine will freeze, but never during a game. That usually happens when I have too many things running on my PC. Try closing all other running programs. If other people use your PC, make sure they are logged off.

Well, repeating sound is often caused by:

1) A driver you have is currently corrupted.
1 a) Uninstall the Driver and Reinstall the drivers for your sound/vid/motherboard

2) Some Halo files have been corrupted
2 a) Reinstall Halo

3) Your HD is fragmented. ->Defrag

4) A required file is missing from your computer and Halo is not
producing the correct error and is instead caught in an infinite
loop looking for it.
Solution:
Hard to tell sometimes. The way I used to figure mine out was a program called FileMon. If the program indicates a 'File not found' error for the Halo executable then odds are this is your problem. See what file it wants, do some google searches and replace the file if necessary.
