I have a radeon 7500 64mb and it works fine. I think the graphics are pretty good. It was about $90. Some people spend over $200 on them, but if I had the money to do that. I still wouldn't.

antway, you are not really going to get that great of a graphicd card for under $200, unless you steal it. The best graphics card out there, it the ATI RADEON X800 XT, which runs halo at about 160 fps. But if the price range does concern you, then you should really go for something close to the ATI RADON 9600 PRO, or the nVIDIA equvilent, One of my freinds got that, for I think, around $120, and it works fine, depending one how much ram you have and yor processor speed...

I'm happy when mine runs 60 in a close quarter battle!
I've got an ATI Radeon 9000 128MB, full settings runs fine.
The only problem is that camo's aren't really invisible, they're just grey.

lol, mine 2...my mom just went a bought a dell piece of crap and didn't let me do anything with it other than put some extra ram in...if you want the best card, get the pci express when it comes out...but if you want an ok card and don't have a ton of money, i would bear the bad graphics and get an ati or sumtin when the pci express comes out, because their prices are gonna drop like crazy.

okay the x800xt has been benched to only run halo at 130 but that is just the x800xt agp model even with the pci express one i doubt ull see too many more frames its just that its processing and sending information faster so on online games there will be less of a difference in where things REALLY are in the game like if you are shooting at someone in a game that doesnt necasarly mean thats really where he is, pci express should help that alot but as in fps i doubt it will have too much of a difference maybe 10 fps and i doubt that there will be much of a drop when the pci express comes out because the agp version will be out a few months before. Then ull also have to by a new mother board to support pci express and itll be a couple hundred to a few hundred dollars. When the boards and that card do come out though I will be getting it because it will be amazing.

i have a ATI Radeon 9800 XT. i got it for about $500. it is absolutely stunning. i also have a 23" apple monitor that has a max resolution of 1920 x 1200. the only downside is that halo doesnt suport that resoulution but Unreal Tournament 2004 does. It is amazing. i only recommend it if you have the money and a monitor that will put it to good use.

Yeh, that is a really good graphics card...it runs halo at like 60 fps...which is really good... it maybe does even more...dunno...

no, the XT is the best variant, it actually beats the geforce 6900 (or whatever its called) in fps and its like $90 cheaper. the platinum and regular dont beat the Nvidia.

Well, I dunno which card is best, but whatever you do DON'T GET AN MX420!

I just upgraded to a Geforce Fx 5500 256mb... around 120$ i think.

the graphics card that xbox uses is the highest version of geforce 3, i reccomend getting a geforce 4 ti 4200, one of the highest versions of geforce 4 (in 128 mb of course) That used to be my card and ran halo better than xbox did, they run around $70-90

You are right and wrong. They will be the same price, but the 6800 ultra requires 2 power adapters and a 480 watt power supply. The 6800 ultra does beat the x800 xt in every benchmark by a little. Pc gamer rated the x800 better cause of those major things that a 6800 ultra needs.

The X800 XT is one hell of a graphics card...nut I think it is out of his price range..I don't know though...

I just spent $200 bucks on a Radeon 9600 xt. It is a very good card (I mainly bought because it was like the minimum to play half-life 2 almost, lol) But if all you do is play halo, I would go with a radeon 9600 pro.

Yeh, it works, but there are better cards that give better results...

Lucky bastard... I run at around 10 fps if i'm really lucky.
