I feel stupid but i cant get a mod to run.. need instruction

I have Halo modding toolkit (HALO mod manager), and I've also downloaded a mod, but im not sure what to do after that. I put in the file name, but im not sure what else I need.

It says the mod is applied although when I run the halo demo and create a server adress its not changed.

It's probably obvious what to do im just making some stupid mistake. Does anyone know where I can get instructions or will someone give them to me.

yea i think its working a little because when i type in "gulch2.bat" it says "No Shee Mod" how i set it.

BTW its HaloModManager v2

another question ... can i use mods with the HALO demo? thats what i have though im going to buy the game for the computer.
