are you going through a router or using a x-over cable directly to the cpu?

at the same time?
you can't use a x-over w/ a hub, you need a cat5 patch cable.
whichever method you use, just connect, turn on the box and make note of the ip address. also whether ip is static or not.
once your hooked up through the hub tho it should be as simple as doing an ftp://xbox@whatever ip/ in the explorer window. that's how mine's set up. of course i use a router...

a patch cable is just a regular ethernet cable, like the one that goes from your cable modem to your cpu.

if your using the hub, try setting xbox to no static ip, save & exit,
and reboot. go back to settings and note the ip.

use it with the same ftp style.

also you might try using flashFXP instead of the explorer window.

i think its cause you have a hub.
from what i understand, a hub only switches the connection, it doesn't split it.
thats what the router is for.

can they all access the internet at the same time? or one after the other? my understanding of a hub is that it can't, so you would only be able to either use the net or log on to your xbox.
however, i would definatly check w/ someone who is more sure before going out and buying a router.

All you need to do is take the internet pug out of the pc and then put it in the system link port and then go to xbconnect.com look 4 a game and click on it. you mite have to ask them to stop so you can join.

(P.S. you will need 2 comps with shared document 4 this to work, and they have constant upgrades and stuff 4 the site so if it doesnt werk you will have to download the upgrades. OK?)
HA! You think legendary is hard try me on for size!

I couldn't use a router for the xbox because all the computers in my home use a router already to connect to internet. So i just installed a nic card and now have 2 ethernets in my pc. Works great, internet port is dynamic IP and the port to the xbox is static IP.
