video card

coz im only 12 and only get 30 pound a mounth(i live in uk) i need help with my video card coz i dont have the money for a new one! at da mo i have a nvidia Geforce 2 MX. When i go to play halo i get a massage saying my video card was not tested with the game plz update it. So i download the new one and install it. When i go to load up the pc it frezees when it says loading Windows 98. and if it gets past that my screen just turns off. Whats really pisses me off even more is that its worked before!!!!

If any one has had the same prob then plz help me!!

first of all: how do u download a graphics card, or was it a driver for ur card.

secondly: isnt 30 pounds like 60 dollars (ur damn spoiled)

and finnally to answer ur question: just save ur money and buy a new card. i have a nivida geforce fx 5600 256mb i bought it when it was almost top of the line but now its like $200 or something

buy a 9800se instead of 5600 256, 9800 is a whole lot faster

price of:

9800se- 170
5600- 256mb- 160

Wow...... crap. You are spoiled. Yur getting 53.19 dollars a month?!? I get 12... maybe. And I can't spend it on things that I want to. All I do is use it to buy food and other random stuff, never something big.

ive got a radeon 7500 ill sell for 40$. it runs halo and everything else fine. im gonna rebuild soon so i need to sell it.

It's not your video card unless you did something to physically damage it. I know from experience (

) that a GeForce 2 MX can run halo. In fact, that's the card in my brother's computer right now. And he plays halo on it.

Install the latest device driver for it, and try it again. Hehe, I'm getting a Radeon 9800XT... I so happy.
