Can't skin a warthog...

I am having problems installing vechile skins on any map. I just cant seem to get it right. Plz direct me to a tutorial or if you know how, share your thoughts please. Thank you

Explain what you are doing. ( applying the sppf, signing all that stuff)

This is what I go about installing it.
1st: Open the map (dune for example)
2nd: Extract the Bitmap I plan on useing (warhog in this case)
3rd:Close Map in DotHalo
4th: Interalize file I used using HaloIB.exe
5th: Fix Encryption
6th: Edit the DDS file in photoshop (yes I have the patch)
7th: Save DDS file in the number 3 format
8th: Reopen Dot Halo and Inject the file
9th: Fix encryption again
10th: FTP file to xbox
11th: Put normal Halo 2 disc in.
12th: Bring up Relic (dune.map) and click Start game
13th: Game Fails and I'm getting really aggitated by that...

So what am I doing wrong?

make sure you resign the map and make sure you save the DDS texture in the correct format.

Try clearing the Cache, and load halo 2 from the HD.

Well, maybe, I'm not 100% sure though, Do you not have H2 on your HD?
Because most (if not all, correct me if I am wrong though) mods require you to have Halo 2 on your HD, I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure.

most likely because of the auto update as well since you are using the halo 2 disc

What you are doing my friend is called TDATA modding, a big 'nono' here at Halomods. Your maps are failing to load because they need the original encryption signature, what you need to do is copy Halo 2 to your HD and then add the new maps to your mainmenu.map.
