Model Won't Inject Using Entity or Dark Matter

Post by Veditor »

Hello everyone,

I am currently having issues trying to import a modified model into Ascension. The model is the antenna and my friend modified it using the program Bryce. In both programs the error message pops up that

"The index was outside the bounds of the array"

I have made sure the obj file (as there is only one for this model), is named correctly before attempting to inject it but it still does not work.

My friend tells me that the original model had 114 polys while the modified one has about 1,000. The original model's file size is 15 kb while the modified one is 50 kb. I don't know if this information makes a difference but maybe the model is too large to import as it has too many polys.

I tried injecting using Entity Beta and Dark Matter Alpha.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on this issue.

Thank you!

*bump

Any help would be greatly, greatly, greatly appreciated. I'm really hopeful that somehow this model can be injected. If this mod gets completed with the model I'll give credit to any person who helps us out. Thanks again!

I'm almost certain you can't increase the amount of poly's especially by almost a thousand lol.

Thanks for the reply iGeo.

I should also mention that my friend also dropped the antenna model in Bryce and just stretched it a little bit, thus just modifying it slightly, in order to see if it could import - and it did not. It still gave the same error message. So I don't think it's an issue with the number of polys but an issue with the process in which we are going about trying to model the antenna. I'm wondering from someone with Halo 2 modelling experience if it would be better to use 3D Studio Max in order to modify the antenna model and if this program would actually work and allow the model to import.

Thank you!

Yeah, that 'bryce' program might be messing it up. If you can, edit it in 3ds, export as obj, open in Milkshape, and export as obj again. If that doesn't work, I don't have a clue =|

Thanks G.I.R., I'll try to see if he can model the antenna in 3D Studio Max and hopefully it will import!
