Having trouble making the warthog faster

I tried adding speed to the warthog, and it is faster. the problem is, now it's a speeding metal deathtrap and everytime i drive 10 feet it spins out of control like a wraith just drilled it. then of course i die. how do i fix this?

If the speed of the Warthog is something like 1.279, don't change it to 10. o_o

It will become a deathtrap like you said.

Increase the speed very, very slowly until you find a speed that you like.
Even mess with the decimal.

well, the problem isnt that it goes too fast, crashes, and then goes berserk. the problem is that i go faster, as i want to, and evrything runs cool, and then all of a sudden it goes VWHOSHOOM! and goes berserk. which makes me think there's another setting i can adjust to offset that. but i dont know what.

Just do what ketchup said. Your hitting tiny bumps in the ground at 20 O_o that cause the game to think it need to send you flying..
