Bump maps...

Post by Geo »

Well, I was making some custom bump maps for my Lancer Hog, and they come out like this ingame:

Looks really cool I think, like a matrix type hog.

Anyway, back on topic, this isn't what I expected to happen, well actually it wasn't suppose to look anything like this, I saved them as DXT1 but does it matter if its with No Alpha or 1bit Alpha... or is there something else i've done wrong for it to get this mucked up?

Bump maps are in P8 format. In Photoshop's DDS plugin, it is called "Pallette ARGB (256 Colors)"

Thanks, but whenever I try saving it as Pallete ARGB my photoshop freezes... it's a bit odd :?

I'm making do at the moment using DXT1 bump maps, but they make stuff look cell shaded, and I have to invert them aswell, so I'm hoping someone knows why my photoshop wont save in P8 :?

...No.
Skayter, you need to stop talking when you don't know what you're talking about.

Geo, try getting the newest plugin.
