Is it necessary to internalize a warthog bitmap in shared.map? i know it is necessary in other maps, but once again for shared.map

You want to inject a bitm into shared. Why?
Its already internal in shared. Everything in shared is internal.
If you change a bitm in shared it will change the bitm for every map except ones with internal bitmaps of that one.
To completely answer your question.
To inject a bitm into shared, just inject it. Resign, ftp, and do what ever the hell your trying to get accomplished.
