Few quick questions....
1.Is it possible to not have Halo 2 on your HD and still have modded maps, for example- The Allied Map pack.
2.If so you you don't can you please gimme the link for the tut or tell how please?

you can't . go to www.halokit.com forums> halo 2 tutorials> press CTRL + F and type in ADD then hit enter it should be the first thing you find or second.

Heres an app that is very easy to use for adding maps to main menu. It will take you mabye 30 seconds max for each map. http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=52493
