system linkable

In many H2 mods in here are written that this mod is system linkable . But what does it mean ?

That you can play it over kai or xbc.

I will not pretend to know everything about .map coding's, but back in the day when Iron_Forge released one of his application's, it would ruin the "systemlink compatability" of the map when you modded the map.

Hence now-a-days everyone comments on the "systemlink compatability" of their mod.
