HELP!!! MESSED UP SOFTMOD!!!!!

Okay. So I softmodded my xbox the other day with Softmod Installer Deluxe, the Splinter Cell version. I did what it said to backup my MS Dashboard. Now it is a week later. I've had no problems until now. My discs started appearing as "Unknown". So I hit "Restore MS Dashboard". I restarted me xbox and now it is say "13 Xbox Needs Service".

Want to know what I did?
I went to Xbox-Scene. They are very learned over there and I am sure they can help you.

(You're probably going to have to make a boot disc.)

This does happen all the time. People need to stop hitting buttons without doing some research on the consequences of doing so.

I concur. The most common thing I get is "I accidently formatted [Insert C or E here], how do I fix it?"

This guy did format his C drive or he didn't backup his original dashboard when he modded his xbox. Its pretty much the same thing.

He didn't format C drive.

13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.
