Haloce LAN problems

The LAN is working because we are able to share files and are also able to connect to each others games on halo PC. When we try to connect through CE the game doesn't show up on the LAN lobby. I have turned all of the filters off and even Direct IP doesn't work.

do you have a router do if so what kind linksys if so you have to open ports

No we are not using a router. We are using a cross over cable.

cross over cable does a cross over cable work like that for lan games

yes it does, we are using the cross over cable with Halo PC but it in the haloce LAN lobby we can't find each other and direct IP doesn't work either, it always says the client is older than the server.
