Can someone tell me why I can't play Modded Maps ??

Yes, I have a Fully Modded Xbox, and I have played Modded Maps before on this Xbox.

I tried playing 2 Map packs, but both won't work. I tried each one seperately, followed the directions. The maps showed up on the menu selection.

I started the countdown. When it hit 0, the screen turns black, and then I start to hear the Halo chanting theme music, and then it goes back to the countdown screen.

This happens when I try either map pack.

I recently updated my PC with .NET 2.0. And I have the latest XBL updates for Halo 2.

Two words.... Auto update. bungie made it so u could not play map packs a long time ago so u need to take off ur update and it will work.

I'm gonna try and find out, but I'm gonna go ahead and ask.

What folder on the Xbox has the autoupdate, and what do I need to delete?

E:/TDATA/4d530064/$U is the Autoupdate.
