HMT and Spark Edit Problems

Ive tried to load a map on both HMT and Spark Edit. On HMT it just says "Not a valid halo map file" and on Spark Edit, it says "Failed to decompress--file is corrupt." Is there something im doing wrong? If anyone can help me it would be a big help.

Is it a valid Halo 1 map? It can't be Custom Edition or Halo 2.

no i had some but theyre on my halo pc cd right now and im in class but ill give it a shot later and if it still comes up short then ill let you know.
