problem with photoshop opening dds files of skins

ok i want to make skins but how do i get it to open in photoshop i hit open and click on the dds file but nothing and i get this error. can anyone tell me how to upload it and how to export it.

do you have the dds plugin, and if you do is it in the right folder?

i got the dd plug in from this site but i cant find the inport/export folder in photoshop.

do you get any message when you try to open a .dds file...

or do you try to open it and.......Nothing

It's in *assuming you installed Photoshop to the default location*...

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop *version here*\Plug-Ins\File Formats

yea i get something when i try to open it, i have to use something to open it with.
