New to mods help!!!!

I know alot of people on this site are pros but im new to this. I have put in a mod chip and downloaded X-DSL to my hardrive. I am wondering if this is the right OS to run some of the incredible maps you guys have done. If it is would any one know how to do it exactly because i have researched my brains out and have found nothing. I am not one of those online moders, I have an xbox dedicated to play maps like the ones you guys creat and would like to link up with the other xbox in my home.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!! would bemuch appreciated

can you stil play xbox games

(do you still have the original xbox dashboard and a switch to your xbox)
